In the Critisis period, the earth was widespread volcanic activity, marine oxygen deficiency incidence and massive extinction. There are gospels from this period and scientists continue to indicate that different areas can look like climate.
Now, researchers in China have inspected some of them: dinosaur eggs were found at the Chung Longshan site in Yijan Basin in central China. This is the first time that dinosaur egg carbonate uranium lead (U-PB) dating is made. The team has published their results Frontiers in Earth Science.
“We show that these dinosaur eggs were collected about 85 85 million years ago, in the late Cretesis period,” said Dr. B. Zao, a researcher at the Hebei Institute of GeoSins. “We provide the first strong historical obstacles for the foolishness, which solve the long -standing uncertainty about their age.”

New dates
Chung Longsion is China’s first national dinosaur Indo -Gashim Reserve. There, more than 3,000 foolish eggs spread in three sites. Most stresses are embedded in different stones, such as brakes, brakes and slot stone mixes, and fine sand stones. Eggs mostly live in their original location and only show the least deformation.
The majority belong to a single species, plastolasis toomyolinogens, which is related to the Dandrolythida family, a group whose characteristics are characterized by highly unsafe egg shells. The sampling of the callasses came from an egg -filled egg with a 28 egg -egg, embedded inside the brake bearing slices.

To date the egg, the team used U-PB dating.
“We fired a micro laser on the egg shell samples, making carbonate minerals vapors in aerosol, it is analyzed by a widespread spectrometer to guide uranium and atoms. Since uranium is leading at a fixed rate, we expose the lead.”
The results showed that the eggs of this cluster were submitted about 85 million years ago, with the possibility that they were likely to be deposited about 1.7 million years ago or after. Their age means that they were laid during the late Creteisis, a period of about 100 to 66 million years ago. They are credible history before the Chinglong site.
Traditionally, the dinosaurs involve indirect ways to meet eggs, such as volcanic rock, ash layers, or minerals around the eggs. However, they are formed before or after laying eggs, or the geological process may have changed. The procedure used here allows the egg to have the exact dating of the eggs without relying on anything.
“This revolutionize our ability to establish the history of the global dinosaur egg,” said Zhao.

Old climate
In the Toroni period, the global cooling began several million years before giving eggs (from about 93 93.9 to 89.8 million years ago). When they were laid, the temperature dropped significantly. The transfer from the hot to cold climate was a possibly a diversity of dinosaur diversity and how many species have been kept in Kinglongs.
Zhao said, “The special stubborn structures of the dendroothids can represent the evolutionary adaptation in this climate shift, as the novel egg types have emerged worldwide during the cooling.”
Dandrolyteshadow eggs, which are clearly different from many other dinosaurs eggs, can be a similar adaptation.
“P -Tomyalanjin can represent an evolutionary dead end where the egg -laying dinosaur population failed to successfully mold,” Zhao explained.

Although some samples of the egg shell were examined in this study, all tests confirmed the same age of pieces of eggs, which were also around the eggs around the eggs. The team will extend the samples to add eggs to the layers of different rocks, which can help build a regional timeline. He also said that in the future, dendrootheld eggs should be tested in neighboring basins to detect migration.
“Our success has important implications for research on climate change on Earth, along with dinosaur evolution and extinction, as well as late crates.” “Such results can transform the fiancĂ© into a compulsive statement about the history of the land.”
