In this article, I wanted to see how electric vehicles (EVs) were being sold one of the hottest markets in the United States, Colorado. They have a quick tax credit for $ 3,500 for vehicles less than $ 80,000, and if the price is less than 000 35,000 you get $ 2500 extra. Even if they have the “cash for cloners” program (they call it the car exchange colorado), even if you retire the gas car over 12 years old and meet the revenue limits, you provide you with an EV purchase, more than 6,000. In addition, there is still a rapidly ending, 7,500 US federal tax credit. Add these four and some people are getting back between 000 11,000 and $ 19,500 on their EV purchase or lease! I am meeting my daughter in Colorado this weekend, and I personally wanted to do some personal research. I knew I couldn’t research all the high vehicles here, so I would focus on Tesla, Chevrolet, Hyundi and Ford.
Tesla’s production and sales look very strong
Tesla looks like everything is moving forward to get a record quarter in the sale of vehicles. Upon release of recent earnings, we found that Tesla unexpectedly sells more sales and even more. This means that they increased the inventory. The reason is that they expect a rush of buyers who want to buy before the expiry of the federal tax credit. There are also rumors that Tesla has increased production – production of both models that they sell today and produce the 4 models that they do not yet sell (more affordable model Y, big YL, model Wi’s performance, and model 3+). So, if these cars were not being sold, I would expect a lot of inventory available on their website. I saw in the Denver area and they had only 9 model YS. Moreover, when you click on them, only 3 are in stock. Others are “arriving soon.” They do not have twenty colors and twenty models. They are not offering any inventory exemption, but they are still offering 3.49 % financing.
I am not sure how accurate this Norwegian website (since Tesla is cracking up people who screen their site and collect data), but it seems that the inventory is going down. It is for all models in the United States, but it shows that the Model YS has only 205 cars in stock all over the country, while 1,111 cybersics are available.
I did not visit the Tesla Delivery Center today, but all the indications are that the sale is very strong. In the fourth quarter, matters for Tesla can be very rare if they have difficulty promoting their new models, or if they can increase them, but people don’t just want them. On the other hand, they intend to use a lot of vehicles to launch their robotics service throughout the United States, if the project is at greater risk of slipping next year, if Tesla’s autonomous track record is considered. Two years ago, I thought it would take years for the FSD to work without a driver. I don’t know if I was very hopeful or liked. I think you can discuss any matter.
Chevrolet
I went to Fuler Chevrolet and asked about twenty acneoxes. Sales Person told me that they were sold and they have a list of waiting for about 50 people! Since the base model is only less than 000 35,000 (, 34,995), it qualifies the Colorado tax additional for $ 2500. This means you can buy it in more than 20,000! Not surprised that there is a waiting list! I was influenced by Ecunox a year ago, but this base model is a stripped down unit (I don’t expect leather seats at this price!).
Sales Person said they had some bleeders available, but they are close to $ 60,000. I like Blazer, but despite the credit, a similar vehicle does not cost double the amount. I expect that when the tax credit is over, Chi’s sales will be greatly reduced, but if they can remove a new bolt with the LFP battery pack and the car is built in the United States (avoiding Trump’s prices), they can recover soon. But Bolt is a smaller car than acnex, and for some people, they won’t like it.
Handiciary
I went into this dealership thinking that perhaps Kona EV (which starts less than 000 35,000) will be a hot seller based on my cheek experience.
But after talking to a sales person, who said that Kona has only 200 miles, while Ion Q5 models have 259 to 318 miles, it has a lot of rooms, and have a lot of good, and I focus on ion Q5. I took it for a short test drive (it was great and a pedal was driving). As you can see, the lease deal is very aggressive. If you take a 19,350 hind discount, at a cost of 000 55,000, it is much higher than similar size eczoxes, but it is much better equipped (compared with acneox LT2 or LT3 trams). With a new factory based in the United States (saving Hyundai from Trump prices), I think their sales will be slightly softened, but Hyundi and what (with Tesla) are always found to be quite quite in accordance with changing market conditions.
You can see that they really promote the Ioniq brand.
Ford
I was disappointed with what I saw in the Ford dealer. When you walk, they show a group of gas gooseing muscle cars.
Then they show a 100 -year -old Ford truck. There is nothing about new technology.
I asked Sales Person about Masting Mach E, and said he had a great discount on one used. The least expensive that showed me was about $ 53,000 and did not know about any privileges. It is not eligible for any federal privileges and gets $ 3,500 only from Colorado. Since it is built in Mexico (such as Ecunox), Ford is paying 25 % of the Trump tariff on this model. For a very small amount I have to keep Spartan Ecunox or well -equipped ionocases 5, acneox, or Tesla Model Y in $ 10,000 less. I think Ford will not have a big rush of people running to buy Mastung Mach e, as nothing is going to be ending in this quarter. On the bright side, it will be more competitive when its big rivals lose their $ 7,500 tax credit.
Conclusion
The short -term future of Tesla depends on how her four new models run out in the fourth quarter, and long -term if they get full driving to work in personal vehicles and their robotics service. Tesla’s dedicated cybercab, made using their non -boxed process, will probably either change everything or suffer from frustration.
Chevrolet looks like they are doing three to be more competitive: moving to LFP batteries, introducing a whole line of more affordable EVs, and moving production to the United States to protect them from revenue. It should work well. They may have more aggressive plans that they have not yet announced.
Hyundai is doing the same three things such as Chiyi: Working on LFP, introducing more models, and moving more to the United States. I think they will do along with Chi, maybe better.
Ford recently announced a highly aggressive plan, but it has also left the company a 2 -year difference, where they have nothing more to compete with Tesla, Chi and Hyundi.
