Another evidence of its rise and its rapid presence in the economy and markets around the world, we have recently received the news that the Chinese EV company has increased the list of Fortune Global 500 and is now broken in the top 100.
Obviously, I assume that you read the headline and know that the company is now ranked #91. However, what you probably don’t know is that the company shot this list in more than 50 locations last year! There is nothing to be ashamed, but BYD was ranked #143 in the list of 2024 Fortune Global 500.
This is how BYD summarizes its impressive height:
“In 2024, BYD gained harmony in its four industries, which reported the annual income of RMB 777.1 billion (about 107.1 billion dollars)-increased by 29 % annually. Representing permanent year, strong market flexibility and high quality growth.
“Technical innovation pushes the global growth of BYD. The company maintains ‘technology -based -based’ as its development philosophy, which has a lot of R&D investment. The R&D investment exceeds its annual net profit, BYD has introduced large technologies, including blade battery, Dosos Intelligent Body Control System, Megawatt Flash Charging.
“Bid intensified its globalization and localization in 2025. In the first half, sales of passenger vehicles and pickup trucks exceeded 470,000 units, showing strengthening development. There are 112 countries and regions available, bringing consumers to sustainable technology and premium services globally.
Seeing this summary, one thing that came to my mind was: Imagine how much we are seeing more than BYD next year or something. The company is really starting to walk in a group of foreign markets. Building these seeds in 100+ markets, how much can the company’s sales increase in the coming 5 years? And then what alternative will BYD vehicles replace? How many gas-and diesel-powered vehicles will take the roads to 2030 and beyond?
Another thing I like is that BYD continues to highlight the importance of electricity for our climate. In highlighting the listing of BYD’s new Fortune Global 500 in this graphic, the company added a key line below: “cool the ground with 1 ° C.” Good – Wear the importance of your heart, values, and the importance of living climate on your sleeves.
