Passenger riding of the Philippine President’s President in the future: Love Bus Lits

On the morning of September 13 last week, standing at the Welneslo Gateway Complex, I could not help but could not feel returning in the 1980s. I was not invited to launch, but had to be there – traveled more than 120 km from a domestic base because it was a famous trip to the Philippines “Love Bus”.

I had no security certificate, so I was watching the metal facilities. There, President Bong Bong Marcos Jr., on the occasion of his birthday, on September 13, officially launched a new Liu Bus Program, and memories of my daily journey from Quizon City to Mandeleng returned. The 12 km who praised my students’ years-air-conditioned comfort in a fast-paced city, a small luxury that made the difference between getting wet or ready to learn to reach school.

The real love was revolutionary for hot bus riders in the Philippines. Diesel -powered Hino buses were standard vehicles. The former First Lady was from the 1975 mental makers of Ild Markos, and all of her worth of it, she gave us the first Philippines’ bus system. But for those of us who mounted it in the 80s, it was not just transportation – it was a glimpse of what could be a public transport. But like many of the most expensive projects of this period, it eventually suffered from financial facts, which gave us memories of hobbies and desires that could happen.

Her birthday gift for travelers

Make almost five decades ahead, and I am here again, repeating the history myself – but this time made this opportunity even more meaningful. President Bong Bong Marcos Junior chose his 68th birthday not to celebrate with the private party, but by giving the Metro Manila’s passengers a lively bus service. It was a symbolic gesture that spoke volume: Instead of receiving gifts, the president was giving one to those who needed it most.

President Ferdinand R. Marcos Junior (Screengun from the RVTM of the Presidential Communications Office.)

20 Calna Electric Liu Buses that stood in front of us were less similar to their predecessors, but the promise was the same: comfortable and reliable, reliable public transport for the tired travelers of the Metro Manila. It was not just a transportation launch – it was a birthday gift for a whole metropolis.

President Marcos, celebrating his 68th birthday with this launch, accepted the future and continued to continue his late father’s legacy. This contact was not lost on me – there was a son who started the father’s administration, but this time with diesel engines, with electric motors.

Marcos also said: “TanningChankin Po Niniva Ang Ating Bogong Love Bus Para Makabawas Pass, Makag-Songs Ning Koti, Mubasan Ang Traffic, Mubassan Ang Pollution Dahil Naga Electric.” (“We encourage everyone to reduce transportation costs, save a little, reduce traffic, and reduce pollution reduction, to help reduce the cost of transportation, take advantage of your new love bus because these buses are powerful).

Technology matches old memories

I was the most surprised about these new Domkit Electric buses, which did not just have their quiet operation or their environmentally friendly credentials-it was such that they made everything the real love of the bus. The wheelchair ramp spoke with a more comprehensive vision of public transport. The integration of the mobile app meant real -time tracking, which we can only dream in analog ’80s. And, yes, they are still vigorous, though now they are running with clean electricity instead of fuel.

US -designed, Chinese -made buses represent global cooperation, which could not even imagine the real love project. Global Electric Transport (GET) Philippines, working with smart communication and supporting the technical skills of EV dynamics, has created something that feels both familiar and revolutionary.

Gate City Optimized Managed Electric Transport (Domestic) is an electric Moneybus developed by US firm Panjia Motors and is developed by EV Dynamics in China and is distributed by the gate. Often features as an electric mini -bus, it can be reset as a jeep (e -jeep) through a seating reorganization.

A partnership with the EV Dynamics, a headliest in the manufacture of electric buses, assures that the vehicles are high -tech, extremely efficient and reliable. In Chongqing, the production plant where Domkit Electric Money buses are collected have been producing these vehicles for international markets.

Free Ride

Perhaps the most amazing difference is the rental structure – or, but, the early lack of one.

During September, every passenger rides free. After that, seniors and PWDs continue to ride without any price, while regular passengers pay routine fares (though I was told that the fare system would include free riding at non -peak hours). This is a masterpiece subsidy program. I am not sure whether the real love will be focused on one of the deadly flaws of the bus: profit.

I had the time to ride only when the president went to his next activity.

I could not help but calculated: If these buses are offered to 600 passengers daily, they are 1,800 people in three initial routes who face this upgraded public transport daily. Multiply that from a month’s free rides, and you are seeing an important government investment in changing the behavior of passengers.

Beyond the Metro Manila

I have the most enthusiasm for this rehabilitation. The real love was just basically the trend of a metro manila – I never saw one during the province’s visits. But this new repetition has already scored pilots in Sibo and Dao, which have plans to expand Vizya and Mandano. Love is simply becoming the end that its name has always suggested: a car to relieve and care for Filipino travelers across the country.

Riding on this shining electric bus, from Valleyzuela to Para, I thought of all the students I probably tested four decades ago – at the moment when public transport is not only able to tolerate, but also pleasant. Electric motor calm, cool air conditioning, accessible design dignity, app -based tracking facility.

The real love bus died because she could not maintain herself financially. In this new version, the weight of this date, the promise of technological development, and hope that sustainable public transport can eventually work in the Philippines. Even if it succeeds where its predecessor has failed, it remains to be seen, but yet, 20 electric buses are quietly revolutionizing how we go around the metro Manila, a free ride at a time.

When I stepped off the bus at the Para -Integrated Terminal Exchange For,,,,,,,,,, for,, for,,,, for,,,, for,,, for,,,, for,,,, for,,,, for,,, for,,, for,,, for,,, for,,,, for,,, for,,, for,,,, for,,, for,,,, for,,, for,,, for,,,, for,,, for,,, for,,,, for,,, for,,,, for,,, for,,,, for,,, for,,,, for,,, for,,,, for,,,, for,,,, for,,,, for,,,, for,,,, for,,,, for,,, for,,, for,,, for,,, for,,,,, for,,,, for,,,, for,,,, for,, for,.PUTS), I felt that I just completed a trip that began in the 1980s – a young student is grateful to the future witnesses from the Philippines for air conditioning for air conditioning.

Love has just returned, and this time, I want it to stay.
