Urs Manimus – which is mostly a combined ancestor of modern bears species, which lives in Europe about 4.4.9 million and 1.8 million years ago, during the plychen era and possibly in the early plason. The species represents the earliest representative of the first black bears and Ursus jeans in Europe, including today’s brown and polar bears.

So far, researchers assumed that ancient bear is primarily fed on insects. A new research by the Statlich Nesseshastenthale Lich Sammaligan Bayers (SNSB) now paints a different picture: the so-called Overgonne Bear, Ursus Munimus, most likely a commonly commonly commonplace-has no special preference for insects. These results are published in the journal Sack.

On the research of this, the Sandari expert compared the jaws of Urs Manimus to a species of other recent and extinct bears that have a diet limit. These include experts such as pesticides, such as the sun bear, the meatic polar bear, and the strictly vegetarian Dev Panda.

Depending on the diet, the bear jaw has different bio -mechanics when chewing food. The opening angle of different jaws and chewing muscle positions show animal eating habits. Van Heater used geometric morphometics for his study. This includes measuring skeletal parts using digital measuring points, known as Landmark. This shape allows the bear’s jaw bones to be imagined in three dimensions and compare using data methods.

“As a true Omnore, Urs Miniums was particularly flexible and complicated and could easily adjust to change the availability of food.

Van Heater explains, “The results of the dietary habits of such ancient species that are found to be about ancient species like Urs Munimas and provide new insights about our understanding of their adaptation in changing environmental conditions.”

Most modern and endless bear species – with the entire range of different diets – a very ancient Urs minimas can be detected.
