I’ve just announced the next online lectures in the series – for March and April 2026 (see here) – at rather late notice… I’ve been traveling a lot since the start of the year and have generally been very busy, very busy in fact, and so I’ve decided it’s time to take a break. In general I’ve worked more in the last couple of years than ever before, and on top of that life has thrown some curveballs my way. I wrote a long explanation here (at a particularly stressful moment in January).

So, I’ve decided to put my lecture series on YouTube on hold for the summer months (after May), but hopefully resume later in the year. I realize that many of you who are members of the channel may not want to continue your monthly subscription and I totally understand that. Online lecturing is now a very important part of how I make a living, but recently I’ve gotten to the point where I’m no longer sure I can dedicate the time each month to the preparation – reading, writing, and creating presentations – that’s necessary for these kinds of high-quality, in-depth talks. I intend to spend the summer months researching and writing material that I hope will provide the basis for a new series of conversations in the fall.
The full archive of past lectures (see here) will be accessible only to channel members, although I may also make one or two talks from last year available to everyone for a limited time.

Of course, I hope it will be easy enough for all of you to resume your subscriptions when lectures resume and you feel you want to do so. I understand that not doing anything new from May to August won’t get me back the subscriptions I lost, but it’s time to recharge my batteries a bit, and starting work on a new series will lead to better lectures in the long run.
I want to say a big thank you to everyone who has joined the channel. I have had so much fun doing these talks over the last eighteen months and I would never have been able to do it without your support. So thank you, I’m sorry I’m taking a breather right now, but I hope to see you all again this month and next, and when the series resumes later in the year.
