In both the names, the authors of the Bible are known about their excellent writing, dynamic verbs, limited explanations, and all of them! Instead of long explanations, they control the statement by weighing each word: Does it play an important role in both the subject of the chapter and the book?

As a Bible scholar who dealt with the Bible’s fitness daily, I sometimes be surprised that if the authors have taken a look at the cost of papaya and parchment! Nevertheless, the more I study, the more I appreciate the ways of creative, harmony to the authors that they bow down to our hearts and engage our ideas.

In particular, as I talk here, they use many literary tools, including countries (“AS” and “”), “metaphors, and conscience, and conscience to add color, character and meaning to the Bible story.” Here are some examples:

For example: As a northern wind brings rainSo a sharp language looks angry (Proverbs 25: 23).

Example: The sky will end Like the clothing (Psalm 102: 26)

Metaphor: you, the Lord, are A shield around me (Psalm 3: 3)

Who: o You Who listen to the prayer (Psalm 65: 2)

These and other tools are prominent in both the Bible’s statement and poetry. They guide interpretation and colorful nuances. I am surprised at the palette they offer.

Metaphor for the Lord

David, a single skilled character, singer, giant murderer, men’s leader, and women’s weavier. As a military hero, David acknowledged the Lord’s presence during several life and death clashes with Philistine and Saul’s forces.

In Psalm 18, David changed his name and praised the Lord. Note the repetition of “rock” and “shield”. It seems that David writes about a specific war in which the stones offered the cover. A man easily hears the clash of shields and his songs are smelling of fighters. Although its metaphors are extremely personal. My pit And My shelterAll 30 of the 30 readers and listeners expand the psalm.

Verse 1: O Lord, I love you My strength

Verse 2: The Lord is My rock, my fort and my savior. My god is My rock in which I take shelter. He is My shieldAnd The horn of my salvation, my stronghold.

Verse 30: He is A shield for all those who seek refuge in it.

Not surprisingly, the Bible does not appreciate other gods like this! For example, the author of 2 Kings, 23:13 ammonitis (mill com), Mobytes (Kamosh), and the deities of the Sidonis (Ashtores), humiliates the deities. Two words, Shiqquwts And ToobahAll three dismissed as “makrooh”, some unclean and hateful. In this case, a metaphor acts a nickname and shows some of the role of the god.

The name of the sacred city

Sometimes, the Bible text is encouraged by a dictionary game. Exception talks about 12 12 “about the place that the Lord God chooses to name your God.” This is a long definition, yet it is mentioned in this chapter six-yes, six!

In this case, the assessment game also included a long wait. When the place was revealed as Jerusalem, the suspense increased for centuries later. In fact, Jerusalem’s predecessor, pockets already existed. David conquered him and made him his capital. It became known as “City of David” (2 Samuel 5: 7); Similarly, in the Testament, Jerusalem became known as the city of David (Luke 2: 11).

Many poetic freedom Helmark Jerusalem. Psalms in 48, the metaphor of love, honor and place, for example, express the uniqueness of the city:

Verse 1: The city of our God, the mountain of His HolinessVerse 2: The happiness of the whole earth

The poetic prophet

Isaiah 62: 2-4; Its excellent poetry highlights changes and talks about the coming glory. Zion’s prophecy reflects a nation, city, people and/or person. Excellent metaphors brought the current situation and the coming glory. But a new name comes first.

Nations will see your righteousness and all the kings. You will be called A new name That will give the Lord’s mouth. You will be A crown of Sean In the hands of the Lord, A royal dadid In the hands of your God.

Now they won’t call you UninhabitedOr tell the name of your land Uninhabited. But you will be called HefizibaAnd your land Balle; Because the Lord will celebrate in youAnd Your land will be married.

This text shows something to see in both positions: a new name indicates a new era, a new assignment, and the end of a season.

Filled name

I laughed again and again when I saw the importance of names as literary tools. One was learning that the name of a family, Benny PerosionLiterally, “Son of Peso” (Excuse 2: 3). Although it may seem strange for modern ears, the individual Israel was often named for insects and animals. However, people are “sheep” and a party is a “herd” (Psalm 100: 3; 74: 1). The name of the Great Judge Deborah means “Bee”, and this prophet Halda means “Weasal”. A relationship between some scholars is visible Benny Perosion And the name of the Kalib, loyal spy, which means “dog”; Both names identify loyal fighters.

A new name can work in advance warning. It can expose destructive behavior that can harm others. For example, take the Kushan-Rashtim (Judges 3: 8), who was already in the ground when the Israelis arrived. The second part of his name, Rushtham means “twice as evil.”

Since it can be reasonably assumed that no mother would call her newborn son a “double wicked”, he would have earned it! The argument, it indicates its actions and words. His name causes someone to imagine the fear he brought in his articles and thanked the Israelis for his death. Judges 3:10 these contexts offer: “The Lord gave the King of the King of Aram into the hands of the Ottinil, who controlled it.”

Self -statement

The Lord compiled the tone of self -revelation by describing Moses as “sympathetic” and “grateful” (Exodus 34: 6), with two attributes lending himself to the alias.

David, clearly writing in the time of deep humiliation, described himself as: “But I am A worm And there is no man, mankind is sarcastic and despised by people “(Psalm 22: 6).

However, the Lord uses the same explanation, through Isaiah, but in a way of hope and then explains to himself: “Don’t be afraid, You wormJacob, Little Israel, Don’t be afraid, why I will help you, declare the Lord, Your savior, the sacred of Israel“(Isaiah 41:14).

The nickname, a common but low -identified literary device, shows familiarity with the relationship. The job called the Lord, the “guardian of men” (job 7: 20). The Lord later called the job a “fault Finder” and asked if he would “fight with Almighty” (Job 40: 2).

Love in songs of songs

The language of love involves the ongoing creativity. The song of the songs, perhaps the most famous love story in the Bible, is mastered in verbal definitions and explanations. It expresses the severity of the spirit. Young and young women, the principle speakers of the book, the sexy, the sexy, the emotional, the entertainment, the exploitation, the admirable (and many!) Stages. It seems that the two are trying to move beyond advanced places. They know that they play a game that everyone enjoys and wins each.

Shake your head and smile on these examples. The lover is a young man, and a beloved young woman.

Lovers: I give you the My dearTo A horse used on one of Pharaoh’s chariots (Song 1: 9) beloved: Like an apple tree between the forest trees Is my lover in youth (song 2: 3)

Lovers: How beautiful are you, My dear! Oh how beautiful! You have eyes Pigeon (Song 1: 15)

Beloved: I have a lover Datman and Rudy, residual between ten thousand (Song 5:10)

The “best” name

There are advanced tools tools for advanced formation in the English language. A good, better, excellent.

In Hebrew language, one way to express advanced is to use words or phrases that, according to praise, something that is of high quality or quality. Mistans often follow this form. Some examples are “special treasures,” “apple of his eye,” and “turtle”.

Because the Lord has chosen Jacob for himself, Israel for this Special Treasure (Psalm 135: 4). He found it in the desert of the desert and… kept it like this Apple of her eye (Exception 32:10).

Oh, don’t supply your life Thrulldeove To the wild beast! (Psalm 74:19)

The first two indicate love for Israel. The third psalm gave himself a chance to personally identify himself as the beloved of the Lord.
