Joseph oversees the gathering of grain over seven years (born 41: 47-48). Dating about 12 1275, this mosaic appears in a Kapola in St. Mark Baselica’s Aterium in Venice. Interestingly, the artist made Joseph’s granor to look like pyramids. Vikimidia Commons; Public domain.
Joseph’s Bible personality offers a very interesting story of the Hebrew Bible. Birth 37-50 narrates a complex and brave story that begins with Joseph, which is presented as Jacob’s favorite son. Joseph’s special status annoys his brothers, who sell it to slavery – either to the Ismailis or the midwives, who then bring him to Egypt. There, Joseph has the right to Pharaoh, has been promoted to the highest office, and receives grain supply, which eventually survives Egypt during famine. When his brothers and sisters come to Egypt from Canaan, Joseph allows all his families to settle in the region called Goshin. The Hebrews then live in Egypt before returning to Canaan and multiplied in 400 years (Exodus 12:40).

Are these action -filled stories to be genes? Is there a free historical evidence that Joseph ever existed? You guessed this – we don’t know any evidence for Joseph outside the Bible. Like other pious rhetoric, Joseph’s story seems impossible to finish historically. Or does it do?
If instead of looking for a historical Joseph, do we check our sources for a broader historical period in which the Bible story could be set? Can we indicate a historical background and maybe find the original sequence in which the story told in the book of birth can occur?
In his article “Does Archaeological Egypt confirm Joseph’s time?” Appeared in the fall of the fall 2021 Bible archeology reviewsRaheel Hollot saw Joseph’s story from a historical point of view. A professor of history at the purchase college at the State University of New York, Hollot, has examined archaeological records from various periods of Egyptian history and tried to anchor the Bible story in reliable historical and archaeological sources. In search of a comprehensible historical order, Hallot points to the fact that the first thousand BC, from Canaan, were entering the northeastern parts of Egypt. “In the period that is known as other intermediate paradox [c. 1750–1550 B.C.E.]The Canaanites, who were living in the region, had expanded most of the East Nile Delta, which had basically conquered Egypt from the inside. Egyptian texts refer to them HarassmentWhich means “ruler of foreign lands,” a term [later] Haikos deteriorated, “Hollot explains.

Building archaeological evidence from the East Nile Delta, Hallot has confirmed that Haiku was a canyon. So should we see the Bible’s Proto-Higher in Hycos? The story of the Bible, really, is compatible with Egyptian sources for Hocoos: People who begin in Canaan come to Egypt, gain importance, and eventually leave for Canaan, which the Egyptian army pursued. But unlike the historical Haiku, the Bible’s Hebrews, despite Pharaoh’s will, left Egypt with joy.
Is it possible, despite this great difference, the historical reality is somehow reflected in the Bible’s statement, which was written centuries after the events that intend to describe it? Full argument and to see how it can fit the latest ideas about exit, read Rahil Hollot’s article “Does Archaeological Egypt confirm Joseph’s time in Egypt?” Appeared in the fall of the fall 2021 Bible archeology reviews.
