Hidden in simple sight: a century ancient museum sample came out in evolution

In a turning point in a spy novel, Harvard’s Museum of Comparative Zoology (MCZ) has emerged as an important discovery in the evolution of fossil early animals.

Originally described as a caterpillar in 1865, the plycampa anthrox was changed between rating-insects, malads, and eventually a marine polytheism, until 130 years later, when researchers realized its original identity: the first famous Nanon Marine LoboPodine and initially discovered as well.

Libopoden are an altercation, soft physical creatures that eliminate the evolutionary gap between insects and Christians such as insects and Christians such as ancient insects and modern arthropids. “What is surprising to me is that pieces of bio -macromulicols can be transformed into abnormally secure or in fossils,” said Yu. “I am very happy that this technique has the sensitivity and characteristic of fossilizing remnants to distinguish the Rocky substrate.”

The nearest relative to Pelukampa is Hudranics, a Cambrin Lobopodine from Greenland, about 200 million years old. Both had ten pairs of legs, no paws and were blind. Nitt noted, “The terms needed to fasten soft physical creatures like lobopodine are rare.” “Most of our insights come from Cambrian Liggerston, but carboniferous duration – when Palo Campa lived – much less, less than windows, makes every new search incredibly valuable.”
