Washington, DC – On Friday, the Trump administration issued a stop work order to the Revolution Wind project in the Rhod Island. The project has already been completed 80 % – it has already been installed with 45 out of its 65 wind turbines – and once completed, the revolution will use the air to a great extent to generate 350,000 homes in Hua Road Island and Connecticut. The project has created 1,200 stable, good pay -paying jobs in the region, and will continue to support the development of the project as well as more job opportunities.
In April, the administration issued a similar stop work order, demanding the Empire Wind project in New York to stop the construction. The order was rapidly changed after the Sierra Club and other environmental organizations, New York Governor Kathy Hachul, and the residents’ advocacy, who demanded the resumption of the project so that the state could access cheap and more reliable energy.
In response, Sierra Club climate policy director Patrick Drip issued the following statement:
“We have a hot gesture for Donald Trump: If you are worried about growing costs that Americans are facing, stop eliminating the cheapest energy. The air on the beach is capable of giving millions of homes in our country reliably and cheaply, but Donald Trump will increase its power.
