Many names come to mind when someone mentions the great Bible’s “villain”. There are some foreign powers, such as the Exodus Pharaoh or King Niavichdenzar, and some even local Israelis, such as King Saul and King Ahab. In the era of the Testament and the early church, the great villain often took the form of great persecution, including King Herod, the Great and the Roman Emperor Nero and Dometin. These names have become historically notorious, many people have been immortalized on stage and screen. However, there is a name that has avoided the focus of the Bible’s pop culture, though its actions, allegedly, are worse than many of their villain peers: Antox IV epiphine.

In the time between the return of Jewish exiles and the rise of the Roman emperors, the land of Judaism was caught between the two ruling forces: Syria’s Silenced Kingdom in the north and Tulaimic Egypt in the south. These states, both successors of the broken empire of Alexander the Great, had been fighting for more than a century, while the Jewish nation was sitting at the crossroads. (A statement of these relationships, which is seen from the lens of the forecast, can be found in Daniel 11).)
In most parts of this period, Judaism remained in the circle and was left alone. However, when Antox IV came to power c. 170 BC, the Jews did not easily fit in this vision for their new empire. Adopting a form of royal colonialism, Antox sought to create a sense of cultural uniformity in the hope of creating more socio -economic stability. This includes embracing the worship of helenistic lifestyle and Greek pantheon, especially Zeus. With epilepsy ephenic (“God’s manifesto”), Antox claims to be a Zeus avatar. Many countries of the disbelievers accepted and welcomed these policies, but in the land of Judaism they led the cultural civil war, especially among the members of the high priests. In the midst of this turmoil, according to the books of the Jewish historian and the Jewish historian Josephs, Antichoos looted the temple of Jerusalem and picked up the sacred ships to support their campaigns.

After the stories of conspiracy, bribery and military coup in the Jewish ruling class that can fight anyone on television nowadays, Antox arrived in Jerusalem to find people in an open state of rebellion against themselves and each other. The chaos he found in Judah immediately. It was after a humiliating defeat in Egypt, and the ruler removed his frustration over the Jewish people. Antox overcome this situation by killing many innocents and brutally imposing its cultural and religious policies on the population. The time of great distress came when traditional methods like circumcision were declared illegal, sacred scriptures were burned, and violators were also brutally punished by death. Has already besieged the mountain of the temple and after destroying many of its fortresses, Antox has created a new fortress to strengthen its power over Jerusalem and strengthen its political agents. As an end, he raised the temple of the Lord inside him and even went to the point that to sacrifice pigs on the altar, probably to Z Zius.
With these steps, Antox Ephenins effectively stepped into the role of “small horns” of Daniel’s view, and to this day it became the Apocalyptic Supervoline arc type in the psychology of the Christian belief system. One can argue that, if there were no antics, then the popular concept of the Antoor would not have been found in some circles of skateology.
After these atrocities and maliciousness, Antox left his generals in charge of Judah when he went to fight the wars against the Parthee in the east. Under the leadership of Jewish schools, he continued to revolt and threw the gambling of Silesids, winning his political and religious freedom. The Jewish people celebrated this great event every year during Hanuka. Meanwhile, the great villain antioxidants, self-Zeus-Gerait, suffered a military defeat in the east, a disease agreement, and then died. Shortly thereafter, the Slossed Kingdom also fell. Like many megalomaniax throughout history, the legacy of antioxidants is a stain of memory rather than great achievements.

Non -Jewish sources do not paint a very flattering picture of the ruler. The historian Polybius, who was a contemporary of Antox, called the king Epamis (“The Crazy One”), which is a drama on his epitapal. He told many stories of antioxidant drunk treatment, which included hiding outside the palace and playing his flute to invite parties with the common people. Apparently he was such a bad musician, or just so disturbing, that most people fled the parties (History XXVI.10).
Today, for two important reasons, antioxidants are not domestic. First of all, the Bible books, which are mentioned by their name (1 and 2 Macbes), are no longer present in Jewish and Protestant Bible guns. And second, in the canonical book where it is mentioned, Daniel’s book, it is not by name. However, its notorious legacy is inside the annual celebration of Hanuka and in archaeological records. Although the Ekra Fort imposed by the Hassan rulers were systematically demolished by the rulers of Hassam, who soon followed the antioxidants, its remains were allegedly discovered in 2015 during the excavation of the Israeli Anti -Authority (Slossed AKRA). Numerous samples of interest in the remains were discovered, including throwing shots, ballista stones, and aeros heads sealed with a trider.
Like many of his colleagues, bad memories and some of the samples are all that is one of the most notorious villain in the Bible.
