My favorite Tesla vehicle was when the Tesla Semi was introduced. It can reduce emissions so much, and it looks cool. Unfortunately, we are now approaching the 8-year anniversary of this vehicle’s unveiling! The Tesla Semi was introduced on November 16, 2017. Admittedly, this vehicle has taken longer to reach mass production than most of us thought and hoped. The guy who had the idea and led the program, Jerome Galen, has reportedly long since left Tesla — because the Nim is not being prioritized and mass production is being delayed indefinitely.

Now, however, it looks like Tesla is almost ready to ramp up production and actually get them on the road as initially projected.

“Volume production is on schedule to begin in 2026,” Tesla wrote in its third-quarter report to shareholders, with the Cybercab, Tesla Semi and Megapack 3 on schedule. In the vehicle production capacity table, Tesla indicated that the factory is under construction, and Elon Musk reiterated that on the call.

Elsewhere in the report, Tesla said: “The V4 Superchargers enable 500kW of charging for passenger vehicles and 1,200kW of charging for the Tesla Semi, providing the fastest charging times for trucks in the US”.

A fan located near the factory also snapped some photos of the factory’s progress and shared them this week.

It looks like the exterior of the factory is almost done.

So, at last, the Tesla semi-may Really Coming to the market! Yoohoo.
