In Joshua’s book, Rahab (a heroin, however, known as “Rahb Harlot”) helped two Israeli spies escape from the window and below the wall of the city of Geraiko. Who was Rahab in the Bible? A biblical prostitute or just a sarper? Did she live on or on the wall of Jerico, in which archaeologists are known as the Case Mate wall? Anthony Jay Friendo resolved these questions about Rahab’s life in the Bible in the September/October 2013 issue. Bible archeology reviews. Whether it was a Bible prostitute or not, the archaeologists may at least be able to respond to whether Raheb Yeriko’s case was living on the wall.

Rahab Harlot? This may be a surprise to some readers, but Bible prostitutes were usually mentioned in the text. What was the profession of Rahab in the Bible? Here, she helps Israeli spies, which can be a case -mate wall, within which her home can be located. Engraved by Julius Shanur Van Carolfield, Germany, 1860. When they came to spy on Jerico’s land, Rahab helped two Israelis. When the king came for them, he hid them on his roof. When the beach was clean, Rahab let the spies go down the rope through the window.
So what do we know about the monk? Was she a Bible prostitute? Bible’s text identifies it as a ZônāhA prostitute (Joshua 2: 1), but he looks like a more feudal lord. In fact, Josephs, the first century CE, has reported that he has kept an inn. The Hebrew language contains indicators of the word “prostitute” ZnhThe same box that contains a Hebrew word for a girl who gives food and provisions. The text does not describe Rahab’s profession negatively, as someone can be expected in detail of Bible prostitutes. In the Bible, Rahab’s lifestyle is refusing us. Whether we remember him as a Rahab Harlot or a Surinish keeper, she was a Bible heroine.

We may be able to understand the history of the story by testing whether Rahab lived On The wall of aerico or I City case mate. In ancient Israel, the city’s wall structure was different in different periods. At the end of the bronze, when the story of Rahab was set in the Bible, thick defense walls were common. People could live on them. During the period of Iron Age II (the sixth century BC), when it was believed that Joshua’s book was amended, the Israeli settlements were often surrounded by a case -mate wall, consisting of two parallel walls, which were from time to time, with a walls, or in which people were in the room. In addition to the history of defense construction in ancient Israel, analyzing the Hebrew words of the “inside the wall”, in which Rahab Harlot’s residence was described, Friendo said that Rahab lived on the wall. The Friendo suggested that an editor changed the Hebrew to show that Rahab lived in the Jerico wall above a thick defensive wall, rather than making people understanding people in Israel during the iron era in Israel.
