Kokham, England-When the University of Reading Archaeologists began digging the cemetery in the eighth-century Anglo-Saxon monastery in Burkeshire’s Kohm, they were surprised at the extraordinary state of the skeleton’s remains. The majority showed signs of trauma, infection, and even surgery. Some skeletons exhibited symptoms of pressure wounds, suggesting a rising period of lying. According to one, there were probably the most amazing people who were apparently suffering from cancer ITV NewOnly 0.8 % of all the Anglo -Saxon remnants discovered in England in England showed signs of cancer. Of the skeletons of excavation in the Kokham monastery, however, 11 % had cancer. Archaeologists believe that the irregularities suggest that the monastery has potentially served as a type of hospital that specializes in treating people suffering from diseases. “The group’s cancer levels and other types of conditions are so high that they cannot all come from a local population,” said the University of Reading Biochemicals. “They were getting help and people brought them there because they got a level of care.” For more, go to “worldwide: England”.
