The 2020 Nobel Prize in Chemistry was given for the development of CRISPR/CAS9, this method is also known as “gene scissors”, which enables researchers to understand how human cells work and live healthy. Researchers at Stuttgart University have developed more CRISPR for this purpose. They offer their CRISPR gene and Epagenum engineering (CRISPRGEEEE) Cell report methods.
The cells perform all the necessary tasks in the human body, such as generating energy, forming tissue, and defending the disease. Our gene plays a central role in organizing cellular functions. It depends on which genes in the cell are currently on or off, different cellular processes are activated.
“My research group is investigating how the cells maintain control of their genes and thus maintain and maintain a healthy cellular state,” says Dr. Philip Rathert, a group leader of the Institute of Biochemistry at Stuttgart University. “In particular, we are looking at proteins that are binding to chromatin, our DNA packaging in cell nucleus: We test how these proteins interact with each other to change or turn off the genes at the right time.”
To investigate this, Rathrt and his team conducted analysis of the Genetic Damage of Function (LOF) in the laboratory. “We specially close individual genes or proteins in the cell to understand the effects of this damage on the cell.
Novel Analysis method: Corporation
The latest biotechnological tools are needed to perform high analysis. One of these tools is CRISPR/CAS9, which is a method that allows scientists to convert genes in precise and targeted style, as to use scissors to cut DNA on specific points. This raises basic moral questions, but also offers major benefits for research and medicine.
For example, LOF analysis helps researchers understand how human cells work and stay healthy. “In basic research,” our findings mainly benefit from medical science, for example, helping us better understand the causes of cancer -like diseases or to help us develop a new approach to personal treatment, “says Rathrt.
Rathot and his team have developed a novel CRSPR method that makes LOF analyzes more efficient and reproductive: Cripherjin.
“Cripperjini combines two mechanisms: silent and cutting a target gene within the same cell simultaneously. It makes it effective, especially for the investigation of genes, which is difficult to close in traditional methods and study the complex process of cellular control.”
“With crisis, not only can individual genes be shut down more efficient and rapidly, but at the same time, the combination of two different genes can be analyzed. It enables a more precise and strong explanation of the cellular relationship.”
