Volvo cars reinforce its leadership, focusing on products and commercial responsibility

Announced changes indicate the company’s permanent commitment to enhancing the company’s offering, ensuring the right product lineup for each region and providing strong trade performance.

Eric Sewarnson has been appointed as effective, chief commercial officer immediately. As part of his new character, Eric Volvo will continue to serve in the executive management team. After spending his career in finance, strategies and products, Eric recently served as the Chief Product and Strategy Officer.

In addition, Michael Flis returned to the Volvo cars, replacing Eric’s chief strategy and a product officer. Michael spent nearly 10 years in Volvo cars before joining the product, with extensive experience of product development and planning, which was later acquired by the horsepower train – a joint venture between wet and renal. Its expertise will be a valuable asset as we are faster towards the All -Electricity future.

Along with these appointments, the business team of the Volvo cars will refresh their view. The newly declared area will form a business team led by Eric Savrenson. In addition, Volvo cars will appoint product line owners for their product lines. They will inform the Chief Commercial Officer.

“I’m glad to return to the Volovo cars and play the role of the Chief Strategy and Product Officer,” Michael says. “While this is a difficult time for the industry, it is an amazingly dynamic moment in the development of the strategy. We are in the middle of the change of change through electricity and technology, and Volvo cars are well positioned to guide users in the delivery of these benefits.”

Volvo cars in 2024
For the whole year, for 2024, the Volvo Car Group recorded a basic operating profit of breaking the SE’s record of 27 billion. In 2024, the price of revenue was SEK 400.2 billion all the time, while the global sales record reached 763,389 cars.
