New research, led by a scientist at the South West Research Institute, identified a new source of passionate particles near the sun. These definite observations were made by the equipment riding in NASA’s Parker solar investigation, which discovered a powerful phenomenon as soon as the solar corona drowned inside and outside the spacecraft.
These new results provide a fresh view of how the magnetic recovery can heat the solar environment, which then turns into solar air, and also how to raise a small portion of the charged particles at a close speed.
“Through the SWRI -led magnetic multi -scale mission, scientists observed the first direct detection of magnetic recovery near Earth, observed how the explosive physical process accumulates magnetic energy into a new article,” said a new article about this research. “Now Parker has directly observed how a magnetic alliance has been contacted in the Haliferic Current Sheet (HCS), where the Interplanetary Field changes its precision, reinforcing the charged particles with high energy.”
When Parker crossed the HCS, scientists discovered the sun’s direct contact jet and the sun -growing proton from the sun, which they set up their origin from re -integrated places of HCS and not by the irrelevant action of the sun. In the basic part of the re -attached route, Parker found a thousand times more than the magnetic energy available to the trapped energy proton.
“These results show that magnetic recovery in HCS is an important source of enthusiastic particles in the solar air of the sun,” said Desai. “Wherever there are magnetic fields, there will be magnetic recovery. But the magnetic field of the sun is very strong near the stars, so it can be released a lot of stored energy.”
Magnetic Rehabilitation-When the magnetic field lines go together, break down and re-connect an explosive physical process-reinforces the streams and produces rapid flow. At the center of the space weather, solar -powered solar events, such as solar flare and coronal massive enjoin (CME), are re -connected, and disrupts the earth’s space environment. Such problems cause amazing arsenal but can also shut down the power grid and disrupt satellite -based communication and navigation system.
“The American Metorological Society reports that the powerful solar events in May 2024 caused devastation with the farmers when extremely geographical storms have influenced the new GPS, which has been affected by the new GPS, which has been affected by the new GPS, which is used to plant seeds, fertilizers and crop rows. Parker’s access is critical, especially when we live in the middle of a very active solar cycle. “
Parker managed to measure due to the proximity of the sun’s record, flying through his corona three times a year. The particular interest is to understand how the sun’s atmosphere is hot and accelerates solar air. Understanding these processes can also help scientists predict and develop the effects of solar flames and CMEs, as well as provide new insights for laboratory fusion research.
The Parker Solar Investigation was developed as part of a NASA star program to find aspects of the sun’s system that directly affect life and society. The Living With the Star Program is managed by the Green Belt, Maryland’s Goodard Space Flight Center for NASA’s Science Mission Directorate in Washington. Johns Hopkins University applied to the Applied Physics Laboratory designing, constructs and operates the spacecraft and manages NASA’s mission.
